Help us spread awareness about saving Cheese, our school Cat!
What Happened to Cheese?
On August 31, 2026, Cheese was taken from campus by Animal Control after the school administrators made the decision to contact them. Cheese has been a beloved presence on campus for several years, visiting peacefully without any issues. For reasons unknown to those outside the administration, they chose to have Cheese removed DURING school hours. This distressing event was witnessed by several students, many of whom were visibly upset. Parents could be seen pleading with Animal Control as the administrators looked on disapprovingly.
WHY is this concerning?
By allowing Cheese to be removed in such a traumatic manner, it sends a troubling message: if peaceful animals can be treated this way, how will students be treated? This incident sets a deeply negative tone for both students and staff. It represents a misuse of valuable time, educational resources, and taxpayer funding.
